Collaborative Technologies [Artifact]

         This assignment was actually a forum discussion assignment in where we were asked about the uses of collaborative technologies, benefits, advantages, disadvantages, etc. For my forum, I discussed about some advantages and disadvantages but most importantly we had to provide an example of a website or application that can be used for collaborative technologies.

         For my example, I proudly chose Slack, partly because at the time and still until now I get bombarded by Slack Technologies advertisements constantly on YouTube even though I don't own a business. This was another forum so I didn't have many affordances which meant that I would do well purely based on how much I liked the topic and how focused I was willing to stay. I did pretty well, and although I didn't pick up skills I did improve on other skills like writing, attention, and wording.

         Seeing as Slack was one of the few good examples I had and thinking it wasn't a common collaborative application people would normally talk about (unlike google docs) I decided to give it a shot. Being able to see more collaborative applications like Kumospace before we were assigned to discuss collaborative technologies gave me a refresher and better idea of advantages and disadvantages.
