Exploring  Blogs [Artifact]

 

         This was an assignment given over winter break where we had to post at least 7 blogs on anything. The main objective of this assignment was to learn how to use blogs and work around problems. We were to use WordPress and the whole point was to familiarize ourselves with the website and its features. We even got to use a plugin called pagelayer.

         The reason I think this is one of the best assignments was because of the freedom we were given. Over the course of weeks, we had lots of time to create our posts and we had full capability to customize our blog site with themes or anything. This was my favorite assignment and that changed the way I created my project. The freedom we were given allowed me to spend more time on it and develop more skills too without worrying about deadlines or anything like that. I customized my site too, which brought more affordances but I used different plugins and applications to work around those affordances which is something I could never do in a forum.

         I think it was a great project, though I didn't want to mess with CSS I really should have looking back. It was complicated but it allowed for much easier development. I guess there just weren't any good videos or tutorials for CSS.
